Is the fractional reserve banking system whereby commercial banks create money in form of demand deposits harmful or useful? Does the current monetary system favor bankers and put too much power into the hands of financial institutions? Is our current monetary system just? Can it be changed? How? And with which system? Is it a solution to get rid of central banking (end the FED)? Would such an attempt succeed and if so would it solve some of the World’s problems?
